“that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing”

TODAY’S PRAYER
“Heavenly Father, Your Word teaches us to work with our own hands, to live a quiet life, and live properly so that we may lack nothing. We pray that you create opportunities for those in poverty to develop skills and find solid vocation that pays a fair wage. We ask that they will give You glory as they receive the gift of employment. In Jesus’ name.”

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”

TODAY’S PRAYER
“Thank you God for the gift of learning. We ask that You provide education for the poor to learn Your Holy Word and about Your amazing universe. Bless them with the primary skills to read, write, and do arithmatic. Grant them the privilege to be educated and improve their overall status in life. In Jesus’ name.”

Convoy of Hope and IHOP-KC partner again for 12.12

Convoy of Hope and International House of Prayer will join together at the IHOP Prayer Center on December 12  for twelve hours of continual intercession on the global day of prayer for the poor and suffering.  The prayer meeting will be streamed live 12pm to 12am CST to over 180 countries with leadership provided by Convoy of Hope and IHOP.

12.12. is a day to ask God to raise up workers, full of His love and power, to serve those in poverty.  It is a day to petition God for salvation, justice, safety, water, food, shelter, healthcare, education, and employment for the world’s needy.

Dr. Thomas E. Trask, Chairman of Convoy’s Global Prayer Initiative said, “I’m encouraged by the partnership of Convoy of Hope and IHOP for 12.12.  It is without question a God moment in great timing with the Holy Spirit for the kingdom of God to demonstrate His love for those in need by the power of prayer.”

Mike Bickle, Founder of International House of Prayer said, “This is a significant opportunity for IHOP-KC to labor in prayer along side many mature ministries and godly intercessors for other believers who are suffering and in great need. Our leadership team and staff are making this a top priority.”

Daniel Lim, Chief Executive Officer of IHOP said, “It is our privilege to partner with Convoy of Hope to host the Global Day of Prayer for the poor and suffering. We envision a day of unified prayers of the saints in America and in the nations in agreement with the heart of Jesus to reach the poor and suffering with the power of the Gospel of the kingdom of God.”

“The vision for this day of intercession reflects the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and His heart of compassion for those in poverty.  Likewise the first century church and its leaders such as the Apostle Paul made it a priority to remember the poor.  We pray that millions of believers will join us on December 12 in prayer for those in need,”  said Tom Lofton, Founder of 12.12 and Senior Director of Convoy’s Global Prayer Initiative.
